Final Thoughts on the Annual NRA Meeting

I first started shooting more than 30 year's ago and have always been a big supporter of the 2nd Amendment.  However, I must admit there have only been a few years during that time where I have been an NRA member. At times, it just wasn't something I thought about and others I questioned if it was an organization that just wanted my money in pursuit of special interests.  Admittedly,...

2017 NRA Annual Meeting in Atlanta, GA

The second time I've been able to speak to Oliver North.  The highlight of the event for me. Just a wealth of information and as nice a guy as can be.   R. Lee Ermey- Still a Marine and still a Patriot   No different than on TV. Nice, but all business.  Had the best line of the Leadership Conference calling leftists "Rat Bastards". LTC West was perhaps the coolest....

LTG Hal Moore passed away

We never seem to have time to post here, especially lately with the relocation of our store.  However, this sad news had to mentioned.  General Moore was a great American and one of the last from an amazing generation. He will be missed and I encourage anyone that has not read about the general or seen "We Were Soldiers" to do so. When we see Americans burning down their communities...

Today's Denial of Service Hack Attack

We want to apologize to those that couldn't reach our site during the hack attack that occurred earlier today (10/21/2016).  We certainly hope that the government wakes up to the problem of over reliance on technology in the military, public, and private sectors. Reports indicate today's denial of service attack was a probe, therefore we can expect more wide-scale attacks in the future. Something everyone should consider.

9-11 Thoughts from Jim at StarSpangled1776.com

There's not much regarding 9-11 that I can say that hasn't already been discussed in detail.  I am going to try and take a different approach as I reflect on the day.  15 years ago I was already out of the Army due to a back and should injury.  On the morning of 9-11, I was on duty at a Florida Department of Juvenile Justice facility.  I don't recall my...

Dallas Protests Resulting in the Death of Multiple Officers

As I was going to write about the testimony of FBI Director Comey regarding Hillary Clinton's latest Houdini impersonation, protests erupted in multiple cities across the U.S.  In Dallas, at least 11 officers have been shot with 3 reported as deceased. Just before the shooting, the president took to the airwaves and instead of attempting to calm the situation, reinforced such behavior by addressing the Black Lives Matter movement. One...

Orlando Terror

We want to recognize the terrible event that occurred in Orlando.  The attack in Orlando and the fact that they preyed on a group that does not generally represent American foreign policy should call to attention that Islamic radicals do not attack us based upon our policies abroad- they attack us because of who we are in our entirety.  It will not stop! Furthermore, the liberal attempt to yet again...

T-Shirt Ripoffs Harming Veterans

I just finished reading an article about a large online business that makes great profits by stealing artwork from veteran owned and operated companies such at Ranger Up and Article 15. There are other companies that do the same thing, but this one in particular has been refusing to adjust their policies.  This has a trickle down affect of not just hurting the veteran owned business but the all the...
